Safer Doncaster TV

Safer Doncaster TV is an exciting project that provides information and advice in an attractive and accessible format to those living in and visiting Doncaster. The scheme is part-funded by the Building Safer Communities Fund which GOYH manages.

The initial network of 12 screens is just the beginning.  Safer Doncaster Partnership hope to develop the network so that these screens will become familiar sights across Doncaster.  This is a unique system - combining films of interesting local community safety initiatives with national news, sport and weather.  Safer Doncaster TV is part of a wider network of 12 other areas already running the system.

This brings Safer Doncaster Partnership's work to reduce crime and disorder right to the heart of the community and also provides an ideal medium to advertise community events and publicise the work of other agencies.

The long term sustainability of the system depends on being able to generate sufficient income to maintain and develop it and the support of partner organisations will be key to this.

The system was launched 28th June 2005 by Caroline Flint MP.
