Harrogate accountants' views sought at online services workshop

Published: Wed, 04 Jul 2007 14:51:11

A free workshop taking place in Harrogate on 24 July will give accountants a chance to have their say on HM Revenue & Customs' (HMRC) plans for its online services.

The workshop is one of a series taking place across the UK, to show accountants what online services are available, how to register to use them - and the benefits of dealing with HMRC online.

The workshop follows a review of HMRC's online services which recommended that the department should work with its customers to enhance these services and increase usage. The workshop is designed to gather comments and discuss any concerns from agents who will use these services.

"This event aims to ensure we design our services around tax agents' needs. We are expecting high demand for places at the Harrogate event and are looking forward to a useful exchange of views," says Mark Holden, Carter Programme Director for HMRC.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday 24 July at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. Places are free and available on a first come, first served basis. To book a place at this event, or to find out about future workshops in the area, please email marketing.online@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk.
